Moray abounds with safe, easy cycling routes on the many Forestry Roads. The Forest Enterprise encourages this activity provided cyclists keep off waymarked walking paths. But, for the real mountain biking enthusiasts, a tremendous amount of work has been done by the Moray Mountain Bike Club and The Forestry Commission in establishing 30km of trails across the district, varying in severity from Blue to Orange. These are collectively known as the Moray Monster Trails and more information and route maps can be found on line at www.forestry.gov.uk/scotland and www.moraymountainbikeclub.co.uk See Cabins Brochure Folder for pamphlet Cycling in the Forest and Moray Monster Trails.

Since 2008, the new Moray and Banffshire coastal walking route has been completed and much of it is suitable for cycling. Two runs, one east and one west start from Buckie, mostly on the old railway lines. The eastern one to Cullen, through Findochty and Portknockie, is particularly suitable for all abilities as it is reasonably level, and passes through the very attractive villages. It is worth deviating off the route to visit the harbours. To the west the track links up with the Speyside Way enabling one to cycle all the way to Aviemore!!! Further information on this long distance route can be obtained from the Visitor Centre, Aberlour.
